Today I was mastering recordings by Greg Sinibaldi and Jesse Canterbury at the Cistern…really fantastic stuff.
Spent the last 4 days improvising and composing for the Collision Theory finale!
This song from the new Nick Cave album just kills it for me. It’s so amazing on so many levels. watch it here.
My friend Chris Forsyth just posted this
Just got a whole series of these: “Hi Chris Forsyth, Our automatic content protection system has detected that your sound “Paranoid Cat Pts1-3” may contain the following copyright content: “Paranoid Cat, Parts 1-3″ by Chris Forsyth, owned by ADA Global. As a result, its publication on your profile has been blocked.”
The sound on this film is insane! The acting is poor, the focus is nowhere, the story is weak..brilliant!
I’ve decided that I’m only interested in listing to music on Hit Clips or Piano Rolls. Screw your vinyl edition! If it’s not on a piano roll, I’m not interested. I’ve burned all my vinyl and CD’s and Cassettes and VHS. More Power to the Piano Roll!
HitClips is a digital audio player created by Tiger Electronics that plays ultra-low-fi stereo one minute clips of pop songs.
operative word- ULTRA low-fi!
If anyone has any black metal HitClips, I’ll pay big dollars!
There was an article on Dirty Impound that has a little shout out to moi and proclaims that everyone should pay attention to what work on because I only work on the good stuff. He said it…not me.
From simple things great things sometimes emerge. This ditty from Seattle’s Cracker Factory is like a zen mantra from a sensei that loves Anvil and The Stooges. Listen once and you will not shake this lil’ melody, and when combined with the freakish bong hit cousin of a classic Atari console game video (delivered with aplomb by director Andrew Woods) it’s even more memorable. The song which y’all can pick up here for a buck! dates back to the band’s early days in 2006. Cracker Factory a name that makes DI imagine an industrial building that churns out dudes in Ted Nugent t-shirts and trucker hats is comprised of R.L. Heyer (guitar, vocals), Shane Smith (bass), and Denali Williams (drums), who dedicate themselves to a big balled gonzo rock in a wholly appealing way in this trio. They’re currently working on their third album, No One Knows We’re Here, which is being co-produced by engineer/producer Scott Colburn, always a sign that one should pay attention since Colburn only messes with the good shit. Now press play on this ace new video and join us in humming this number the rest of your day.
