Interview with Scott Colburn

Gathering in Herndon, VA, AAMI and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration kicked off their 23rd conference on medical device standards and regulation. This year, attendees have the opportunity to hear from key leaders such as Joe Bhatia, president and CEO of ANSI, and William Maisel, MD, deputy director for science and chief scientist at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Each speaker listed in the agenda brings a wealth of knowledge to strengthen the understanding of national and international standards development and regulatory science. AAMI and FDA staff work throughout the year to focus on topics moving forward in the area of standards development and those stemming from regulatory science updates from the agency. We are interested in hearing about your experience at this year’s conference and invite your suggestions to improve future conferences and workshops. Scott A. Colburn Director, CDRH Standards Program
