If I remember correctly, there was a little blurb in the UWEB newsletter calling out to Residents fans who had 4-tracks. Ken Doolittle was the mastermind behind this project. What it entailed was each member of this project (there were 10 members) started a cassette 4-track and recorded some sounds on a track. A log was started to show who recorded what and for what length of time. Then the whole mess was shipped off to the next person down the line. Eventually, your tape made it back to you filled with new collarboartions from around the globe. Then the tapes were recirculated for the mix down process. I believe Ken put together a collage of these songs and had a broadcast on a Canadian radio station. By clicking picture, you will hear my mixes of some of the more enlightened cuts.
