AUDIO DIRECTOR/ SOUND DESIGNER

Nova Blitz is a real time card trading game similar to Magic: The Gathering. It was my responsibility to conceptualize, demonstrate and implement a complete sound experience in Unity with Wwise. There was a unique challenge for this game in that the developers disliked most sound for games. I contributed to a unique experience by designing a UX replete with UI, animation, transitions and gameplay sounds to fit the virtual world. This game will be available for PC and Mobile.

 

AUDIO DIRECTOR/ SOUND DESIGNER

Sinister Dexter is for the mobile market. I designed wizard spell sound effects and produced voice over acting for in game use. I also organized the asset list, created said asset list, designed, and implemented a file naming system to integrate with the engineering team for coding within the game.

I was an on call engineer for live broadcasts at the radio station and remote locations such as NYC and Chicago.

At the Art Institute I’ve taught classes in Audio Principles, Digital Audio, Acoustics, Music Production, Textural Audio and Multimedia. The University of Washington runs a 3-quarter, continuing education class in audio production for music and sound design. At the Seattle Film Institute I co-designed a BA program in Sound Design for Film, TV, Games and Art.

I was responsible for mastering and duplication of all radio spots and instructional cassettes, as well as inventory and departmental decisions. Our biggest clients were McDonald’s and the American Medical Association.

Our group produced two interview radio shows. Both shows aired weekly on WCRX, Chicago. "Book Beat" was syndicated by the Illinois Radio Network.
